Meet Our Doggie of the Week: Hamburger
Meet Hamburger!
Hamburger interrupted his own nap time in order to talk with us.
Here’s what he had to say to the world before going back to napping.
Q: Well good morning Hamburger, what made you want to do this interview for us?
Hamburger: Honestly, I saw other dogs doing it and just wanted to make my presence known. Forcing myself into your attention seemed like the easiest way.
Q: We love the honesty, it sounds like you like the spotlight. How do you manage to keep all eyes on you?
Hamburger: It’s really not that hard. I don’t even need the attention, just for you to know I’m nearby. My strongest ability is breathing so loud that you could never miss me, especially during one of my great naps.
Q: Is forcing yourself into situations, like this interview, a habit of yours?
Hamburger: I’ve learned that if I want something I should do something about it. A lap needs laying on? Don’t mind me I’ll just shove everything else so I have room. Dogs being too playful? I’ll just run up to them and jump at them so they either stop, or I get to go to the nap room [Littles play room].
Q: Hamburger is such a fun name, do you get a lot of nicknames?
Hamburger: The humans call me lots of things, even if I ignore them from time to time. I get Hammy, Burger, Ham, Hamburgler, etc.
Q: We have gotten word that you are quite stubborn at times as well, is this true?
Hamburger: I’d prefer unwilling participation. It’s a rarity that I want to go walk outside instead of napping, so usually I’ll stop right outside and not move until we go back in. I also refuse to eat unless the stars line up just right, so I’ll just stare at anything else until I’m back in the room. Anyway I’m gonna go back to napping, thanks for listening.
