Meet Our Doggie of the Week: Dickens
Meet Dickens!
For our next interview we would love to introduce the tiny powerhouse Dickens. He might be just a small corgi, but he has a lot to say and he’ll make sure you hear every syllable.
Amidst having to watch where we step, we managed to record some of his opinions for you today in this interview.
Q: Dickens, why is it you always find yourself almost getting stepped on? Can’t you simply steer clear of those bigger than you?
Dickens: I have tiny legs, if anything everyone (dogs and humans alike) should be steering clear of me and giving me the space I deserve. Plus, I believe if I stay right next to anything bigger than me, it’ll guard me from any foot threats.
Q: What do you do if you happen to almost get stepped on?
Dickens: I do what any rational person would do in this situation… I might yell and then look at whoever it was with utter disappointment. Nothing works better than a good stink eye.
Q: Some say you can be a bit overzealous in your opinions, especially during play time, any comment on that?
Dickens: Look as the little guy, I’ve learned it’s better to say everything on my mind at the loudest volume I can in order to get my point across. I can be fairly quiet, but the second something must be said, you better believe I’ll make it happen. This goes for all those big dogs running with no cares, they must know I’m running with them and would like to get the ball sometimes.
Q: Rumor has it you like to choose favorites when it comes to our staff and you make it very obvious.
Dickens: I can’t deny it, I like everyone, BUT there are definitely ones I’d rather have attention from all day and no one else can have that attention. When I’m in the room I deserve them looking at me, scratching me, letting me follow them everywhere constantly. If they leave the room I’ll make sure they know just how upset I am. Although when they return I’ll jump as high as my little legs will go to show them how much I missed them.
Q: We’ve also heard you enjoy walking on the smelly side at times?
Dickens: Some people might have perfumes or lotions, but I rather enjoy finding something extra smelly and rolling all over it for maximum coverage. Granted it’s not as appreciated by the humans who give me a bath when I do it, but at least I enjoyed my smell for a bit.
Q: Any closing words Dickens?
Dickens: I may have little legs but I’ve got a big heart and lots of love to give. I may also have a lot to say, but it’s always with a purpose and I’ll make sure everyone knows that.
Thanks for keeping us on our toes Dickens. We always love seeing your tiny legs jumping for joy and listening to your profound words.
